Grand Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language

Constitutional   Paper of the  Priorate

Chapter I° – Introduction

Art. 1 – To simplify and for a clearer and rapid comprehension, the Gran Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language of the Sovereign Order of Saint – John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta S.O.S.J and S.O.M.S.J, will always be reported in this Constitution of the   “Maltese Priorate.”

Chapter II° – The nature of the Maltese Priorate

Art. 1 – The Bailiff of the Gran Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language of the Sovereign Order of Saint – John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta S.O.S.J  and  S.O.M.S.J, whit the behest of the Governor General and the Knight Grand Cross H.E. Fulvio Venezia

Art. 2 – The Gran Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language is a Grand Priorate of the Sovereign Order of Saint – John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta S.O.S.J and S.O.M.S.J, that by its nature is a Hospitaller and Melitense Order of Chivalry, Governed by a Bailiff, directly to depend to the Governor General.

Art. 3 – Institutional Offices of Priorate are in Malta beside at the Magistral Seat of Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta S.O.S.J and S.O.M.S.J, and on Maltese territory, where it will open an office. The Gran Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language department may establish other offices and representative offices, wherever it deems appropriate. This time of representation, as for the operation, both for teaching and for research, also in agreement with other institutions, chivalrous, university, church, academic, cultural or school, of any nationality, working in alliance synergy with other similar institutions and with similar purposes.

Art. 4 – Legally, the Gran Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language represents the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta S.O.S.J and S.O.M.S.J, that is a subject of international law.

Chapter III° – Objectives and Purposes of the Grand Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language

Art. 1 – The Priorate, in accordance with ancient traditions on which it is founded Cavalry, namely: Faith, Charity, Hospitality and Relief, aims to continue, unarmed belligerent, conquering social, moral and cultural, in the New Europe and New International Culture order to spread the world and regain dignity and high ideals of morality, the bonds of brotherhood among peoples, that the purpose of promoting scientific activities and cultural events and tourist economic nature, to illustrate the long tradition of civilization by Europe, the many historical events which for centuries has been leading the cavalry; the major contribution to the heritage spiritual and intellectual world, the development of its language, which always gave rise to famous literary masterpieces, the development of its economy and, especially, its traditions, so dear to the soul of his people, which instills in them their feelings, beliefs and continues, generation after generation, as the most conspicuous wealth and more jealous of race. The Order vows to defend human rights and protect the free development of human personality in the first place in compliance with the Convention of Human Rights Council of Europe, online practice defense and guarantee of individual rights and people to life, liberty, social welfare and economic, health, culture, quality of life, in every contingency that will endanger or impede their promotion. Adapting to modern needs, the Priory rejects war, lays its arms and promotes universal brotherhood, fighting the ideologies of organized crime and promotes culture and education in the international arena, creating University Campus and exercising the activity of Vocational Training. The charitable and philanthropic activities in the fields of health and education is conducted in accordance with the purposes and provisions of the UN Charter and the Statutes of the Council of Europe. With a critical gaze moved and admired even face the past, but even more the need of present times, it is necessary that the Order, through its own initiatives, with alacrity and deep concern, with determination and perseverance every effort and every chance, without exception, offered by technology, mass media, science, the socio – cultural world and whatever else necessary, to relieve suffering, inconvenience, and instill in the mind more than lukewarm on. Fire of Love ‘of Christ, thus making, you should always take proper account of the delicacy of the soul that belongs to those who lost vegetate away from God. Therefore the Priorate did not object or activity for profit, and pursues with fervor and dedicated exclusively for:

1. Religious (enshrined in the ecumenical spirit of Vatican II) and Chivalry, according to the tradition of ‘S.O.S.J.
2. Medical care and hospitals, charitable and humanitarian

Chapter IV – The power of the Bailiff of the Gran Priorate Autonomous  of Maltese Language

Art. 1 – The administration from the Commanderies the Maltese Priorate are the responsibility of the Bailiff, that must communicate and do ratify from part of Governor General.

Art. 2 – The Bailiff, will nominate council composed of members with a sufficient number of advisers to assist the needs and demands of its administration

Art. 3 – The Bailiff will nominate, Knights and Dames of Grace within its area of jurisdiction, in order to better manage and govern the Priorate, must communicate the nominations and tasks to Governor General, that must provide to ratify.

Art. 4 – The Bailiff will nominate the spiritual leader of the Priorate and Commanderies, must communicate the nominations and tasks to Governor General, that must provide to ratify.

Art. 5 – The Bailiff may issue diplomas, Decrees and Letters Patent in the Gran Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language, with the sole purpose of bringing up the name of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta S.O.S.J. and  S.O.M.S.J.

Chapter V — Honors and Flags

Art. 1 – Flags, insignia, cloaks, armorial bearings and seals, Gran Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language, are those passed by Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta S.O.S.J. and  S.O.M.S.J.

The Gran Priorate Autonomous of Maltese Language is subject to compliance of the Paper Constitution of Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta S.O.S.J. and  S.O.M.S.J.  to depend directly to the Governor General .

According to the above, it is recognized in all our dignitaries of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta S.O.S.J. to respect, as long as God wills this Decree determined by us in full power of understanding and will. Therefore means that it is recognized by all rights, duties and honors due his rank to that in the true Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, uninterruptedly continued by Priories operating for centuries in various states want any religion. Hence, in absolute Faith issued H.E Fulvio Venezia these Letters Patent, bearing ancient and ancient eight-pointed Cross of the Order S.O.S.J.  A witness and by virtue of the powers conferred on us put our hand and our seal.
